The purpose of AnimalTrakker® is to provide software and data analysis tools that aid in the management of livestock. Our mission is to bring animal management solutions to all who work with animals, whether veterinarian, small farmer, or commercial rancher. Our goal is to make it easier for you to provide your animals with a healthy and comfortable life, all while they provide food, fiber, and other products for human use. Currently, AnimalTrakker® can track sheep, goats, cattle, horses, donkeys, and pigs.

AnimalTrakker® is free and built from open-source, transparent, easily audited software. We feel that every user should be able to edit and modify the software to suit their specific needs. We believe in a future free from control, overreach, and excessive monetization, and AnimalTrakker® is our commitment to that future.

Using AnimalTrakker®, you can track all the details of your flock or herd right from a tablet or computer. Nothing is stored in the cloud unless you put it there – everything is local by default, so your information always stays private. The data you collect can help maintain genetic diversity in rare livestock breeds, and you can send this info to your veterinarian, breed club, or registry at the touch of a button.

AnimalTrakker® also interfaces with EID tag readers to make organization and labeling incredibly easy.

Here’s a short list of some features and benefits that set AnimalTrakker® apart:

• Tracks the history of identification on an animal throughout its lifetime – you can see all the IDs that have been on an animal for the entire time it’s been in the AnimalTrakker® system.
• We track the location and ownership of the animal separately. This makes it easy to track when an owner relocates, and it’s important for disease traceability.
• We support many different kinds of ID systems, including EID, Scrapie ID, paint, farm tags, ear notches, and more.
• We connect to Bluetooth EID readers, as well as other peripherals like scales.
• We support Android, Microsoft, Linux, and Macintosh systems.
• The system tracks off-label drug administration.
